The chemical has other advantages as well, such as its excellent heat transfer and latent heat properties. Ammonia, unlike some of its counterparts, is biodegradable and does not contribute to the destruction of the ozone layer.

Propane and propylene are usually found in refineries or major chemical plants. Another kind of chemicals are the propane and propylene but it is not advised to use in environments where fires and explosions can occur.

Carbon dioxide, being a gas that is recovered from the atmosphere, is an environmental friendly refrigerant. It is predominantly used in situations where particularly low temperatures are required.

There are several kinds of refrigerants that can be used. Different types of refrigerants can be used in different types of situations, it only depends on what can fit best.

Components of a Refrigerator System.

The main material that makes the refrigerator system work is the compressor, which can also be called as the vapor pump which acts as the pumping of the refrigerant, lowering and increasing the pressure. Various types of this exist, such as rotary screw compressors, piston compressors and diaphragm compressors.

Another significant material in a refrigerator system is the evaporator. It absorbs heat, allows heat to boil off the refrigerant to a vapour, and allows the heat to supercharge the remaining vapour.

A condenser is another material that comprises a refrigerator system which forbids sensible heat and latent heat from entering the system.

In order to ensure a safe and controlled amount of refrigerant to pass through the liquid line on time, a refrigerant metering device is needed.Lastly, another material of the refrigerator system is the refrigerant metering device which limits the flow of the refrigerant to make sure that only safe and enough amount of refrigerant will be allowed to pass through the liquid line.
